What a full demolition involves
Taking a house down safely is a sequence: approvals in place, services disconnected and made safe, asbestos identified and removed by a licensed removalist where present, then the structure taken down in a controlled order and the block cleared. Nothing starts until the services are off and the asbestos is dealt with — there is no safe shortcut around either.

House Demolition: common questions
Do I need council approval to demolish my house in NSW?
Usually — demolishing a house in NSW is often Complying Development (a CDC through a private certifier), but needs a Development Application to the council where the property is heritage-listed, in a conservation area, flood- or bushfire-prone, or otherwise excluded. We flag which path yours is likely to need.
Who disconnects the services?
Arranging the safe disconnection of power, water, sewer, gas and telecommunications is part of the job — a demolition can't start until they're made safe. We coordinate it and confirm it before any machine arrives on site.
What happens with asbestos?

Do you clear the slab and leave it level?
